Enjoy Spring at Geranium Fest!
Springtime is when nature is in full bloom. Leaves on the trees go from brown to bright green and beautiful flowers begin to blossom everywhere. Those staying at any of the hotels in Billings MT in May, should take a day to enjoy what nature has to offer at ZooMontana’s 14th Annual Geranium Fest!
Geranium Fest is a day to browse plants for sale and spend a day at the zoo. Geraniums for sale include 4.5” pots, zonal and scented, and 8” pots of Martha Washingtons all available in a variety of colors. If you prefer unusual plants, there will also be plenty of exotic seedlings for sale. In addition, there will be beautiful perennials and annuals straight from the Zoo Botanical Gardens. All proceeds from these sales will go directly to the ZooMontana Botanical Society, who is responsible for the upkeep of the zoo and tending to the gardens. This further helps the zoo’s mission of creating an enjoyable and educational experience for everyone.
After you are done browsing colorful plants, head on over to the zoo. Admission to Geranium Fest is free! This means you can spend a day visiting the zoo at no cost to you. ZooMontana has animals from all over the world including grizzly bears, bighorn sheep, bald eagles, red pandas, siberian tigers, waterfowl, and many other interesting animals. All of the animals at the zoo have their own unique profile and name, most of which can be seen on the zoo’s website. If you want something more out of the zoo experience, you can make reservations ahead of time for a tour or special animal encounter, both of which have an additional fee. For some more free fun, you can download a scavenger hunt from ZooMontana’s website!
