June Events in Billings, Montana

Billings has much to celebrate this spring! If you’re staying in Billings MT hotels during May and June, there are plenty of festiHighland Gamesvities to enjoy. Read below for information on what you could be doing in Billings!

Wine and Food Festival, May 14-19

Billings’ own Wine and Food Festival includes events, cooking demonstrations and competitions. You even have the chance to judge the Iron Chef Competition by buying a raffle ticket to be a guest judge. One of the highlights of the festival is the Iron Chef Competition, which  will pit Billings’ finest chefs against each other. Talented chefs from all over Montana will give an education in the Home Cooking School series during this week. Tickets range from $75 to $150 depending on the event. You can buy tickets here.

Strawberry Festival, June 9

Join us in downtown Billings for the 21st Annual Strawberry Festival! It’s always the second Saturday in June. There will be plenty of arts & crafts and food vendors. You can enjoy a pancake breakfast along with other strawberry treats throughout the day. There will be children’s activity area, and lunch is served at the Albertsons Food Court. Yellowstone Highland Games & Renaissance Faire, June 23 & 24

The Highland Games will be held at ZooMontana on June 23. The games will feature athletics, piping, dancing and live music. You can compete in events such as Scottish hammer, stone, sheaf toss, and caber. All participants are required wear Highland attire (kilts). You can rent one for $35 per day plus a $35 deposit. There will be a Highland Dance, pipe band and solo piping & drumming competition. On June 24 at 6pm, the evening will end with a concert featuring the Billings Caledonian Pipe Band, Celtic Fusion dance group, fiddlers, Irish dancers and much more.
