March Events in Billings, Montana

If you are staying at a hotel in Billings MT in March, come see a show at the Alberta Bair Theater! There is great diversity in the performances St. Patrick's Day in Billingsavailable all month for adults and children alike. You can also celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the parade and fair in downtown Billings!

Mature audiences can see comedy’s loveable “Queen of Mean” Lisa Lampanelli on March 2 and 8pm. She is described as a cross between Don Rickles and Archie Bunker with a vial of estrogen. The popular insult comic is known for her searing, vulgar one-liners at celebrities. She has taken shots at Chevy Chase, William Shatner, Jeff Foxworthy, Pamela Anderson, Donald Trump and Gene Simmons. For more information, click here.

Children will adore two performances this month of classic children’s tales. The Corobian Visual Arts and Dance will bring “The Ugly Duckling” and “The Tortoise and the Hare” to life with black light puppetry. The show is recommended for preschoolers and kindergarteners. There will be two performances on March 7, one at 9:30am and one at 12:30pm. You can also take the kids to see “The True Story of the Three Little Pigs” for the other side of the popular tale. Bring your notebook to help solve this wacky whodunit. Grades 2 to 5 especially will enjoy solving the puzzle!  Mark your calendars for March 18.

It’s time to be Irish in Downtown Billings! On Saturday, March 16, you can show your Irish side at the 32nd St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celtic Street Fair. Bring your colors and kilts to celebrate Irish tradition and flair. The parade lineup begins at 9:30am, following the traditional downtown parade route up 3rd avenue to 32nd Street and then returning on 2nd Avenue.  The parade starts at 11am. The Celtic Street Fair runs from 10am to 2pm. There will be many food selections, a wide variety of vendors and children’s activities. Live entertainment will be available on stage. The streets nearby will be closed at 9am, downtown on North Broadway (28th) between 1st and 3rd Avenues. For more information on the fair, click here.
